It can trigger asthma attacks, and some people have severe allergic reactions. It is actually a very common infection in immunocompromised individuals.

Acremonium can be very dangerous. They produce powerful mycotoxins that can affect the immune system, bone marrow, various organs, and mental function. They are also a known carcinogen. The only positive aspect of this mold is that it has a very strong smell, so is usually detected fairly quickly.

Fusarium is a common fungus that grows in dirt and soil. It can be found on houseplants and in humidifiers. They can produce a toxin that affects the nervous and circulatory systems. It can cause stomach problems as well as skin reactions.
